Mechanism of action

GHS-R1a agonist with even stronger appetite stimulation than GHRP-2 via ghrelin pathway activation. Also studied for gastroprotective effects through mechanisms similar to BPC-157. Stimulates GH release with concurrent cortisol and prolactin elevation.

Effects in the body

GHRP-6 appetite stimulating side effect became a feature in cachexia and muscle wasting research. The gastroprotective properties make it interesting alongside BPC-157 for GI research applications. Long research history with well characterized pharmacology.
