Mechanism of action

Translocates to the cell nucleus under metabolic stress and activates AMPK — the master cellular energy sensor. Regulates insulin sensitivity, activates the folate cycle, and reduces inflammatory cytokines. Mimics many cellular effects of exercise at the molecular level.
